About this ebook

“I didn’t just imply that you weren’t welcome. I’m making sure you know that’s the case.”

Don’t miss the incredible first standalone in this unputdownable series that has readers raving!

“A riveting tale.“—Booklist

Previously published as How to Knit a Love Song.

Abigail’s out-of-the-blue inheritance of a mysterious cottage in the middle of nowhere is perfect timing, providing her refuge from the man she’s been trying to escape. But the grumpy, smoldering cowboy seems to come with the property, and his scowls are as dark as the storm clouds she’s hoping to escape.

Abigail intends to turn her cozy little windfall into a knitting shop and spend her days spinning, designing, and purling. But the gorgeous Cade, now owns everything surrounding Abigail’s ramshackle new home, and he views this sexy city girl as nothing but an unwanted interloper.

But chemistry working overtime is drawing two very different people closer than they ever thought possible, and when the past that Abigail thought she’d left behind comes calling, she’ll have to somehow learn to trust her handsome adversary with much more than just her heart.

very slow start; a lot of shop talk for outsiders to get into the industry excitement. had put the book down 1/3 way in, just to get a breather from the... bore, and had considered not to pick it back up if not for my own OCD. soldiering on months afterwards, the story still seemed to go nowhere for another 1/3 of the book. it's such a slow crawl. the build-up (from every plot line) is painfully laggy. then suddenly, in the last couple chapters, everything rushed and sped up to a Hollywood action movie climax with explosion on the bridge and all... in a small no-name town, for really no good reason. yikes, but ok. love comes in many forms, I'll give you that. just that the flow of this book is such a drag... ironically enough, much like what spinning yarn feels like. (sorry!)

The book was a little slow to start. Actually, the plot was a cute concept, but really bad follow up. The male is so wishy-washy. Hot one minute, then cold. He even brings another date to the house. Truly not an alpha male. He does not show his "love" in his actions. The end felt almost rushed. Very disappointed.

Solid 3.5 star This was a good read, it did take me a bit to get into it, but once I was, it was entertaining be it frustrating at times leaving me wanting to shake some sense into Abigail and Cade. There are definitely times you won't like either of them and other times you will and while the story of Eliza leaving Abigail some of her property nd how Cade and her will get on is good but add in Abigail having a stalker makes you turn the page to see how it will all pan out. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
