A beautiful friends to lovers, second chance romance. Peyton and Nash were friends in high school but life happened and they separated before they could be more. Now thirty five years later they both attend their high school reunion and discover that their feelings for each other are still there. There are lots of problems for them to overcome before they get their happy ending but their chemistry is strong and while Nash was a quiet teenager this time he is not giving up.

This brings back HS memories with mixed feelings, easily felt bittersweet moments, some full of heartache & angst. What makes this a book you can’t stop reading is the underlying hope that what was a lost opportunity at forever love will finally have its chance to blossom into what it’s meant to be. Even with bumps along the way, there are beautiful moments that will tug at your heartstrings, making this a lovely tale that I guarantee you will enjoy from start to finish.

This is a heartfelt, warm & endearing story that has flashbacks to high school days of 1989. Of similar age as the main characters I connected with them easily, plus the music & movie references were very familiar. I felt for Nash & Peyton, all the “what ifs”, their emotions, thoughts & second guessing, it was all so realistic & true to life. A slow burn, emotional story, realistic characters, difficult choices, family, unending love, courage, spice & a beautiful HEA.
