5 Star Wanting You Close (Archer & Everleigh Duet # 2)- Lawton Ridge Duet Series, Book 6)) by Kennedy Fox AUDIO REVIEW: After the way the previous book finished I have to say I was on tender hooks picking up Wanting You Close. I’m not sure where to start with this review. What a gripping, emotional story that held me captive from the first word to the last. The performance by narrators Lia Langola and Tor Thom did a wonderful job bringing these characters to life for me and certainly did justice to the story that Kennedy Fox wove. The tension, passion and love was conveyed well by the narrators and I fell in love with Archer and Everleigh even more as their bond remained strong despite outside influences trying to destroy them. This is a love story that built slowly, with some angst and was well written. I fell hard and fast for Archer, he is such a wonderful hero. There were equal parts of suspense and heat the ending warmed my heart.

Archer and Everleigh are insatiable!!! In true Kennedy Fox fashion we were left with a cliffhanger at the end of Forcing You Away and Wanting You Close picks right up where that left off. Everleigh doesn't remember what exactly happened the morning of her attack but Tyler and Archer are there when she wakes up to give her the details. Since Tyler doesn't know about her and Archer he cannot rush to her side like he wants. He is so fiercely protective of Everleigh and is determined to get to the bottom of who is after her because he still isn't sure if it involves Erik's wife or Krystal. Once she is released from the hospital he is on 24/7 Everleigh watch and wouldn't have it any other way. His past is still coming back to haunt him and he needs to figure out a way to stop it. After a few more series of events take place Archer comes to the realization that he must put an end to this and he must do it alone.....well not completely alone, a certain bounty hunter we all know and love shows up to help him. Once he is reunited with Everleigh there is no separating them....quite honestly there was no separating them ever. These two absolutely cannot get enough of each other and I absolutely loved it. The scenes with them are some of the steamiest I have read in a long time. He is the yin to her wild and crazy yang. Publicly Archer comes across as this quiet, reserved man but when they are alone he is a total ALPHA!!!! The only thing that would have stopped Archer was Tyler's reaction when he finally came clean about the two of them and his reaction wasn't exactly what I was expecting him being protective Tyler and all. Although it is always sad to leave a fictional town and its characters I have grown to love, this author duo never fails in wrapping up the storyline so well and giving their readers a glimpse into the future (a favorite of mine in a book). Thank you, ladies for yet another fantastic series.

Gosh, I think Everleigh is the most positive thinking character I have ever read. Her life is in danger so many times but she's still strong, lives her life and do whatever she wants. Archer still makes me swoon with his protectiveness and his possessiveness is HOT. Their story also has more dangerous sense than the 2 previous duets in the series because this time both Everleigh and Archer have their own enemies who want to hurt them so my brain keeps working and guessing how their stalkers will reveal themselves. Don't worry though because this is a romance not a mystery one so the plot doesn't that hard to guess but it still makes me feel intriguing and excited enough. I'm engaged in this book so much I feel like I have a hangover after finished reading it... again. I love their small town and loyalty. I love their sense of humour and friendships. I am going to miss them so much since this is the last book of the series and the authors don't have plans to write any duet for a while.
