Christiane Franke lebt gern an der Nordsee, wo ihre bislang 16 Romane und ein Teil ihrer kriminellen Kurzgeschichten spielen. 2003 war sie für den Deutschen Kurzkrimipreis nominiert und erhielt 2011 das Stipendium der Insel Juist 'Tatort Töwerland'.
