About this ebook

Discord is a relatively new student of the Magic of Friendship. After all, it was not so very long ago that he was the most notorious villain in all of Equestria. So when he receives a secret invitation from Princess Celestia to join the ponies of Ponyville in their Spring Musical, he jumps at the opportunity to practice what he's learned so far. Things go as smoothly as they can first, but it's not long before the former king of chaos leaves a trail of disaster in his wake, and everypony second-guesses including him in their community production. Whats a draconequus to do?

Goodness golly. I wasn't expecting too much from this, but I am surprisingly pleased at how this turned out. Discord's character and antics translate well on paper. I can hear him saying and doing a lot of these things. Not to mention the conflict he faces is very believable for someone like him (what with the rest of Ponyville not liking him and his struggle to stay out of the spotlight) and it's all the more satisfying seeing him overcome these personal obstacles. Considering there's very little content in the franchise that actually explores Discord's perspective in detail, I'll forgive any oddities with the dialogue, for as scarce as they are. Also, for those of you familiar with Discord's ties to a certain sci-fi series, there's a small treat in the last chapter.
