Misadventures is a romantic series of spicy standalone novels, each written or co-written by some of the best names in romance. The stories are scandalous, refreshing, and, of course, incredibly sexy. They’re the perfect bedside read, a ‘quick blush’ for the reader who loves a page-turning romance.

4 Star review of a Misadventures with a Super Hero by Angel Payne (Misadventures #3) Head of a hotel, Reece Richards was once a hard playing party boy who hooked up with the wrong woman. The results were that she experimented on him and turned his life upside down; now his life is filled with secrets and lies.  Emmalina Crist is the new girl at the hotel and when she meets Reece the attraction is instant; the air between them sizzles. Reece struggles with his attraction but once he realizes just how important she has become he is concerned that he won't be able to protect her. When Emma's life is threatened, he will have no choice but to become her super hero.  I have read Ms. Payne before and love her writing style. Although I enjoyed this book I must admit I had trouble getting into the story.  This was an interesting addition to the widely successful Misadventures series which is written by a variety of talented authors and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.

Emmalina Crist is a young woman who is a new employee at a Richards Resort Hotel in the reservations department. She is trying to make something of herself by establishing her career and is currently working the night shift to accomplish that. Reece Richards, is not only Emma's boss at the hotel, but he also is a partying playboy who has been a disappointment to his family. Not to mention he is the man that Emma is attracted to like a moth to a flame the first time she lays eyes on him. When Emma has to deliver nightly reports to Reece's penthouse, the chemistry and connection just can't be stopped. It's hot, it's lustful and it's unstoppable. While Emma wants to protect herself and her job, there is no doubt she's drawn to this man more than any other before. Will the secret that he is harboring be the end of them before they really get going? This book took quite a long time for me to get into and I think that is because this isn't the type of book that I would generally go for. It was out of my "comfort zone" and I wanted to give it a shot because of that. The book is good, but it just wasn't something I really enjoyed. I'm looking forward to moving on to the next book in the Misadventures series!

Reece Richards is a billionaire, party hoping playboy with out a care in the world beside his own pleasure (or so it seams) when he is captured by a group of mad scientist that change his life forever. Emmalina Crist is a new night shift employee at his family hotel she is here to make it on her own and escape the OC and her parents social life. She is fun, quirky, sweet, sassy and I just loved her inner thoughts, specifically about Angelique. Highly entertaining journey.
