This graphic novel picks right up where the TALES FROM A NOT-SO-FABULOUS LIFE with Nikki and her friends Zoey and Chloe trying to survive in middle school. Nikki's arch-enemy MacKenzie meaner than ever (if that's possible); Nikki’s crush Brandon is one of the cutest guys ever. MacKenzie told Nikki that Brandon was going to ask her to the Halloween dance, so she makes other plans to help out at a little kids' birthday party. When she finds out that Ma nzie was lying (and learns that her dreams might come true), she's already overbooked for the night of the dance. Nikki has to figure out how to balance her responsibilities with her friends with her possible boyfriend. Needless to say Nikki has her work cut out for her! You can't help but love Nikki and the messes she gets herself into. She's just such a sweet girl and represents so many girls out there. She is a great friend and talented artist, but she still feels insecure and considers herself a dork! I think every girl can relate to those feelings and that's why Nikki's character represents so strongly with today's girls. I love that Nikki is a good girl at heart, and even when she might make the wrong decisions, she always learns an important lesson. I recommend this book for ages 9-12. This is one from a great series of Dork Diaries!

It was great but it didn't let me read everything cuz I tried their free samples and I'm not paying $17 to read the book when I can just buy it at the store so I only got to read 38 pages out of 291 pages if you're letting people read the free sample make them read everything not just a few. Hope you take my advice thanks for your cooperation

Whoever wrote this OBVIOUSLY does not understand middle school. They do not have "secret crushes" they "go out" with people. And they haven't used the phrase "so totally" since 1980. Nobody goes to the dances at school, let alone go with someone. This was NOT written well. Whoever wrote this should do some research before butchering a good setting for a book.
