Masterpiece! Must Read.. No doubt this book is going to be the best seller. I have never read such a detailed murder mystery in my life. Forget about the story, I was astonished by reading the author’s acknowledgment. Sharp, unique, and humorous. Talking about the story, the first installment of the Murdrum series packs a winning formula, by frightening, enchanting, disturbing, and intriguing its readers all at once. Here, the probe literally begins. I tried to guess the plot and storyline what would happen next and every time I came wrong. The thriller blended with humor picks up from page one and it gives a spine-chilling ride. Dr. Sohil, with this novel, has proven that he deserves to be crowned the king of plot twists. The ending of Murdrum: The Probe Begins by Dr. Sohil is so unexpected. Three pages before the bookend, Dr. Sohil throws a huge twist and the second last page converts your hate into love. Personally, I loved it. I never expected the way the Murdrum has halted. It’s extremely intriguing and makes the reader curious for the second installment. It is one of those books that you finish and you can’t stop thinking about. It was like I was holding my breath the entire time, and I can't even count how many hours of sleep I've lost staying up into the wee hours of the morning just poring over this book. I really enjoyed it, though it freaked me out quite a bit, and I would 5/5 recommend it.

Okay, so as I read this story, the terms that come to mind are freaking genius, powerhouse of information, and down to earth real. Cannot express how much knowledge the author has supplied concerning the basic investigation system and method in this masterfully written thriller. I liked how the main female character was introduced, with her own heroic attitude and natural abilities, and how the character developed. Amazing scenario descriptions that felt so genuine and occasionally bizarre that I had to put the book down for a bit, take a few deep breaths, and then pick up the book again, terrified of what might happen next. Especially the ending scene, where the author established a surreal feeling and connection between the unlikable character Inspector Jadhav with only one word 'corrupt,' leaving me wanting more and experiencing a range of emotions. This is a must-read! Recommend to all kittens like me who want to be terrified and have a good time every now and then.

Murdrum - The Probe Begins by Dr Sohil Makwana is the one of the best forensic thriller I have read in recent times. What makes this experience unique is its Indian setup because I don't remember reading an intense Forensic Thriller set in India in time immemorable. The inspiration taken from real world events and weaving them tactfully in this page turner is very remarkable. The simple nature of story telling which is equally gripping is a craft and I must say that Dr Sohil is a master of this craft. I am eagerly waiting for the next part and all the future work by Dr Sohil as I see the dawn of a new genre in Indian fiction, Medical/Forensic thrillers.
