About this ebook

The Communist Manifesto is one of the most influential political books in the world, despite being over one hundred years old. German philosophers Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels authored the manuscript at the beginning of the 1848 revolutions that swept across Europe. The book outlines Communist theories about class struggle, the problems of capitalism, and predicts the rise of the working class (referred to as the proletariat) against the bourgeois that will ultimately end class society. Marx and Engels' theories increased in prevalence during the twentieth century when Communist rulers governed much of the world's population. This is an unabridged version of Samuel Moore's 1888 English translation.

My thoughts take me back to 1982, when I first read this pamphlet. I was 12 yrs old & about to enter sixth grade. That is why I'm reading it again now that I've turned 48. Those were different times, young girls and boys are now luckier with your audiobook they can now recite the contents in front of their classmates beginning 3rd grade (9 yrs. old). About the authors, with reference to Russia & the former SU, both are Georgians rather than Armenians or any other republics along Black & Caspian Seas.

Totalitarianism is the main reason why Soviet Union and Communism as a whole failed, if we had free and fare elections (under the rule that all the parties are Communist) none of this would have happened, if we had free and fare elections some brainless dude like Stalin wouldn't have became the leader. Communism is, was and will be always better than Capitalism.
