About this ebook

A sweet story about following your dreams that will make your heart full.

Ginger knows that practical choices guarantee a stable life, which is why she chose a career as an office manager. Her job provides a steady paycheck, but it also has her snoozing at her desk. She wishes she'd pursued her passion for interior decorating rather than business.

She’s also trying to forget Greg Shaffer—the gorgeous emergency room doctor she met at a dance club last month. Her dad was an emergency room doctor and the stress of the job turned him into a raging alcoholic, which didn’t exactly create happy childhood memories.

Ginger believes donating her decorating services to her friend’s charity auction is the perfect fix for both her problems. She'll get a break from the daily grind, get her creative juices flowing, and stay so busy she'll finally forget about Greg.

But then Greg ends up buying the condo right above her. Even worse, he deliberately wins the bid on her auction item. Greg seems determined to prove to Ginger that practicality has nothing on passion. And as Ginger brings beauty into Greg's world, how can she possibly resist the beauty he brings to hers?

Susan Hatler's stories are a joy to read. Her style of quirky romantic lighthearted stories are fun filled entertainment. She writes relateable characters that everyday people can identify with. Up to Date presents us with a main character who is at a crossroads in her life. Ginger wants a change maybe in her career and she is searching for someone who will love her for herself.

Bored at her office manager job, Ginger dreams of starting an interior design business. To build up her portfolio, she donates her services to a charity auction. The winner is her new neighbor, Greg. Ginger has had a crush on him since they first met. But he’s an emergency room doctor - just like her father, who’s never had time for his family. Can Greg convince her that they’re compatible? This adorable book is laugh-out-loud funny. Greg is patient with Ginger and her hesitation, without letting her walk all over him. It was sweet how their relationship helped Ginger work through her issues with her parents. I received an ARC from the author, and this is my voluntary review.

I loved their story and the background of Ginger. It's hilarious, the whole Gilligan's Island thing though. Sometimes I don't know what parents are thinking when they do stuff like that to their children.
