So this book was so close to home it was freaky, I live in Albuquerque NM and have a 10 year old dog named Sadie and then we just had Covid pandemic, I'm over here feeling like I'm the freaking character in this book (silly I know) but it made me so much more interested in this story, just so fantastic! Jessica makes such thoughtful decisions and really shows so much empathy and compassion for other living things, and really trys to keep putting her best foot forward and not letting emotions rule her but always using logic first. She is a exactly the type of character in a dystopian nightmare of a world that I really wanted to see. The relationship between her and Jace seems very Ideal as well, he always tries to treat her as an equal even though he very clearly is God teir level powerful being and she is a 24 year old sheltered girl from the southwest. The way they both treat the other with the utmost kindness and care is just bliss. I can't wait to read more books in this series! (:

Loved it! Looking forward to more. Original story line and couldn't help wondering what I'd do in those situations. Makes you think and end of book 1 could bring tears and eagerness and hope.

Absolutely amazing I couldn't put down this book! Praise to Christine Pope, she is an amazing author I've yet to find a book she has written that I haven't liked she's simply the best EVER!!!!:)
