Mut was once a powerful goddess. Now she’s forgotten. She is still respected by other gods as one of the three founders of Karnak. That’s why Ma’at wants her help with a problem god. Mut isn’t convinced talking to Montu will help based on his anger at her the other night but she promised Ma’at she would try. This is an interesting novella. This series has so many little facts about the gods wrapped up in a good storyline. I received a free copy but my review is honest and voluntary.

This was a really cute book. For me, the biggest messages I took away from Mut and Montu’s story were about finding your place in the world and honoring other people’s truths. I was also having fun with the possibility that Ma’at’s a closet matchmaker. After all, every seeker she’s sent off on one of her missions has managed to find the perfect person for them in the process. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
