About this ebook

A REVISED AND UPDATED EBOOK EDITION WITH ALL NEW READERS’ DODOS!

We’ve all heard of the list of endangered animals, but no one has ever pulled together a list of endangered inanimate objects.

Until now, that is.

Steve Stack has catalogued well over one hundred objects, traditions, cultural icons and, well, other stuff that is at risk of extinction.

Some of them have vanished already.

Cassette tapes, rotary dial phones, half-day closing, milk bottle deliveries, Concorde, handwritten letters, typewriters, countries that no longer exist, white dog poo...

...all these and many more are big a fond farewell in this nostalgic, and sometimes irreverent, trip down memory lane.

Just each item that comes up you think "blimey, I remember that/them" which is the whole concept of the book. Certainly for the individual older than 30, as younger people will not have a clue about certain items. Amazing how times do change and how we adapt to it.

A great look back at all sorts of bygone stuff (if you're about 40, you'll remember all this from your childhood). Separated into bite sized entries, it makes the perfect read for when you're sat on the loo! Contains quite a lot of things that you won't have thought about in years, but will make you feel all warm and fuzzy when you do :-)

I can think of a few things that are missing from the book, but it's a great trip down memory lane. Yes, i remember white dog poop. :-)
