What an absolute waste of my time. I read until page 35 when the conversation between Will and Hope took place and I had to stop. It reads like it was written by a 12 year old that has taken a cue from Gone with the Wind. Thankfully I got the free version of books 1-3 and didn't put down any money on this garbage.

Although the subject matter was somewhat interesting, the stilted, predictable dialogue ruined it. It seems as if it was written by a 12 year old with romantic ideas, but no real life experience. The characters are strictly one-dimensional, either all bad or all good, and no depth is explored nor is anything expanded upon and made overly interesting. These books were a disappointment in that the writing style was so amateurish, and limited.

...is the background required in each book, in case a reader starts from a middle volume. Going through this trilogy, I found myself skimming over parts I learned earlier. It isnt wrong to do, just tedious on my part. That said, a decent series. I like how the time paradox isn't explained so much as simply presented. I suspect, further volumes may take place from different POVs.
