About this ebook

They burned his world to the ground. Now he’ll infiltrate theirs.

When Will Stark returns home on his birthday, he finds his life in ruins—his house engulfed in flames, his family gone, and a team of professional killers waiting to finish the job. But Will survives—and is pulled into a secret war between rival factions of a powerful, centuries-old society known as the Aliomenti.

These people possess gifts beyond imagination. And they see Will as more than just a survivor… They see him as a threat. Or a weapon.

This exclusive box set includes the first three novels in the addictive sci-fi/fantasy saga that blends futuristic tech, secret societies, and high-stakes power plays:

Book 1: A Question of Will

Stripped of everything, Will is drawn into the Alliance—a rebel group fighting against the ruling Aliomenti elites. As he trains, transforms, and begins to uncover the truth about this shadow empire, he also unearths shocking truths about his own origins… and the legacy he never knew he carried.

Book 2: Preserving Hope

A hidden village. A girl with dangerous potential. A legacy of silence and sacrifice. Will must protect young Elizabeth Lowell, whose very existence portends the unleashing of a power the world has never known. She longs to escape… but fears joining in death the only other person who stood up to the leaders of the village. Elizabeth’s mother died trying to reveal the truth. Will must keep history from repeating itself.

Book 3: Ascent of the Aliomenti

Armed with knowledge and fueled by vengeance, Will turns the Aliomenti’s own tools against them—revolutionizing their empire with new technology and global reach. But power changes people. Excellent work - thank you for the free first trilogy. Amazing world building, full characters, and (unlike most other sci-fi/fantasy books), hardly any typos or grammatical errors. (I think I found maybe one or two.) The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because I almost didn't finish all three books at one point. Why? Because all the construction and building of the Aliomenti was a bit overdone. I don't think any non-architect readers needed all that detail. It was a lot of mundane, after so much action. But truly, that's my only negative feedback. I hope to read the rest of the story one of these days 😄

Hard work. repetitive at the start, overly descriptive with all the nano technology stuff in the middle. When it got to the time travel towards the end it was just too confusing & I gave up. Shame it had the potential to be a good story. I wanted to know what happened but it was to much like hard work. The enjoyment had gone.

I've given up trying to read this book. You might enjoy this book if you can get past the first few chapters with your suspension of disbelief intact. The repetition of the first few chapters, lack of meaningful descriptions, personality and anything which might have caused me to really care about the characters meant that I couldn't. The general lack of competence exhibited by the characters, particularly the antagonists was also a major turn off. I like my villains interesting, nuanced and capable, not bumbling. After all, it's hard to cheer and really mean it when a few thugs with some special tricks and no imagination fail unless it's memorable or amusing in some way. Finally some aspects of the world building just didn't make sense. If you're making a walled, gated community for the ultra-rich families under threat, high concrete walls, a fortified gate and extensive external surveillance systems are a good start. The fact that that's all apart from a couple of unimpressive security guards is insane. Where's the central security centre, reaction force and panic room? It's enough to stop causal random threats, but anything more sophisticated and professional. This is just one part of the world which feels ill thought out. Despite all this it felt like there might have been the bones of a good story somewhere in there. Given some major rewriting and revisions it might have been a good book.
