About this ebook

Enjoy the first laugh-out-loud story in New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Erica Ridley’s fan-favorite Dukes of War regency romance series!

Certain individuals might consider Lady Amelia Pembroke a managing sort of female, but truly, most people would be lost without her help. Why, the latest on-dit is that rakish Viscount Sheffield is canceling the fête of the year because he hasn't time for silly soirees. He doesn't need time—he needs her!

When a flash of lightning destroys the venue for his family's annual Christmas ball, Lord Benedict Sheffield intends to enjoy a relaxing holiday for once. But after twelve days of beguiling Lady Amelia's guerrilla tactics, he's up to his cravat with tinsel . . . and tumbling head over heels in love.

A pleasant fun novelette, easy to read. The characters were well developed and came to life. It was great to catch up with a few old friends, the theatre, Almacks, Vauxhall. Quite different venues in the middle of winter. Great light reading and believable.

What a delightful romance! Amelia and Benedict are truly well-matched, a fact that becomes quite evident as they work together to find a last-minute replacement venue for his family's annual Christmas Eve ball. I absolutely loved the banter between these two, the clever steps that Amelia takes to bring Benedict into agreement with her, and the unabashed respect he has for her when he realizes just how deftly she maneuvered him. Not that the maneuvering is one-sided - Benedict's handling of Lady Jersey was simply priceless! Everything about this book was perfectly on-point, making it a captivating, non-stop read and hooking me instantly on the entire series.

I really enjoyed The Viscount's Christmas Temptation. I thought that Amelia and Benedict were fantastic together, I had a blast watching Benedict teach Amelia how to enjoy life. I wish that the author had made this short story into a full novel because it had so much potential to be absolutely one of the best novels. It was still great but I was greedy and the story was so good that I wanted more. :) However I am content with the fabulousness that Erica has written. I think its a story that can be enjoyed in the holiday season or during the rest of the year. Amelia and Benedict are wonderful together.
