About the author

Jemayne L. King, a native of Franklin, Virginia, is the author of the cult classics, Sole Food: Digestible Sneaker Culture and Life Within The Dorm. A member of the International Society of Poets, Jemayne’s first poem, Richard Morgan Flier was published in 2002. Jemayne holds a Bachelor of Arts in English/News Media from Elizabeth City State University and a Master of Arts in English/Literature from Virginia State University. Currently, Jemayne is studying for a PhD in Literary Criticism at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he lectures as an English professor at Johnson C. Smith University.
