About the author

Born in Hualein, Taiwan in 1961, Chen Ko Hua is a famous and controversial poet and gay writer. He is an ophthalmologist in Taipei Veterans General Hospital and Associate Professor at the National Yang-Ming University, Taipei. He has won several important literature awards of poetry since his teenage years and has published more than thirty books of his poems, short stories and articles in Taiwan.
