I wouldn't call this his best work, but overall an okay read. Endings are usually predictable, a lot of them have similar plot arcs, but the imagery is great.

In our time we have seen so many stories that most of these are kind of predictable. It's fun to imagine how these were viewed in their day. A good read all around.

Conan Doyle stories,,,,_ interesting reread of human constancy in a long-passed world and its mores. Simplistic mysteries solved with no modern tools, but true attempts at justice. Zany portraits of a coming era, with consistent reminders of the British class system and prejudices.
