Solid 4.5 star Liz and Dirk have known each other since forever, Dirk and Liz's brother Tom were thick as thieves after Dirk turned up on their parents doorstep and introduced himself. As they grow up it turns out Liz and Dirk have a thing for each other but Dirk has never acted on it neither has Liz, both for silly reasons, thankfully when all seems lost Dirk finally acts on his feelings. There are some highs and lows along with doubts and funny times as we see them both navigate this budding relationship and there are a couple of times you really want to shake some sense into Dirk as you really want them to be together as they are so good for each other. Childhood friends don't see that their childhood home life influences the way they approach issues differently and how the other interprets their actions. Luckily, they have their friends to prod them in the right direction and their small town neighbors giving them advice.

"Home is Where the Heart Is" is the fifth book in the Three Creeks, Montana series and is a sweet second chance romance. This book is heartwarming and full of family and friends. Twenty years ago, Merri Maywether went on a date with a very sweet man from Montana. Three weeks later they were engaged and they have lived happily ever after.

When I write my romance novels, the characters are the people that I see on a day to day basis. Up here in what I like to call the far, far north, people work hard, live fiercely, and love knowing that they have a community of people behind them. We support each other through the hardships and celebrate the victories.

The best part...similar to the characters in my stories, at the end of a long day or a rough week we have stories to share for the years to come.
