Sweet, entertaining and charming love story. Read, Write, Love at Seaside is a well-written book that will having keep you entertained with two people that are opposite yet perfect for each other. One meticulous focused thriller novel writer and one free spirit disorganized quirky jam maker combined with a high spirited dog will keep you wondering what shenanigans will happen next and how will they handle what is thrown their way. The story is full of romance, passion and humor. All of the characters are easy to like and easy to feel a connection with. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters in the book. They will having you feeling that they are your neighbor and friends at your home away from home. Two completely different people, Kurt and Leanna, accept each other’s differences and love each other above everything. Their differences bring out the best in each other. This will have you believing in opposites attract and that you don’t have to be similar to fall in love and get your happily ever after. You will realize that what you think has to be a certain way is not always necessary – you can make changes within yourself and be even happier than you were before. This was the first book from Addison Cole that I had the pleasure to read. It was hard to put the book down as it kept me entertained from the beginning to the end. Addison Cole is a very talented author that tells remarkable stories that captivate you and will have you not wanting to put the book down. Oh My Gosh.... Addison Cole has written the sweetest, most loving, and amazing story. Kurt is lost in his own book world and not interested in anything but his family and writing when Leanna stumbles into his life and turns it upside down. I love how opposite these two are. Kurt is organized, serious, and focused. Leanna is flirty, klutzy, and rolls with whatever is happening. Together they are perfect. They balance each other out perfectly. I believe Kurt is almost perfect, only almost because perfect isn't any fun. He not only accepts Leanna's unorganized life but he integrates himself into that life without making it big deal. At no point does he make her feel bad about how different they are. He accepts her as she is without questioning or pushing her to change. Leanna also accepts Kurt as he is. She understands when he has to go into his own world and write instead of hanging out with her and doesn't pressure him to do what she wants. This is listed as Sweet with Heat for a reason. The sweet part is found on every page, whether in Kurt and Leanna's relationship or in the friendships of the Seaside Summer Girls. The heat is hinted at numerous times yet Addison Cole leaves the true heat to the reader’s imagination. This is the perfect read for a cold night cuddled by a fire or a day at the beach in the hot sun. The Sweet with Heat: Seaside Summers series is sure to become a favorite. Set in Cape Cod during summertime, this book tells the story of set-in-his-ways author Kurt Remington and go-with-the-flow jam maker Leanna Bray. The two meet in a chance encounter, but can't stay away from each other from then on. Both Kurt and Leanna find that the other person brings out so many unknown qualities within themselves - and all for the better. However scary change may be, the two quickly find that they can't imagine life being any other way. Addison Cole has crafted a perfectly sweet and steamy romance without there being any graphic, intense romantic scenes. Personally, I love a good romance story, but romantic comedies and sweet "aww"-inducing stories are more my speed. Read, Write, Love at Seaside was perfect for me! I loved the characters - and even the secondary characters! I want to learn more about Leanna's friends and Kurt's family. Cole did an amazing job with weaving them into the story, while also tying them into the romance building between Kurt and Leanna. This book made me laugh out loud, swoon, and really root for the characters - both in their romantic involvement and in their solo careers and adventures. Overall, I would highly recommend this novel to anyone who loves cute, but steamy, romance stories and anyone looking for a beach read! If only I was at the beach when I was reading this… :)
