I would recommend this book for aspiring superintendents and school leaders. For organizations, that use the Baldridge Continuous Improvement model this book would be an important chapter of the CI bible (if such a text existed). Required reading for schools leaders in districts under this model would decrease frustration and provide a "Big Picture" of the systematic and systemic improvement measures. Dr. Holliday simplifies the CI journey of a 2008 Baldridge Award winning school district that rose from one of the worst performing districts in the state. Dr. Holliday and Mrs. Clark detail mistakes made during the journey that required a cautious turn at a red light moment on their road to improvement. They also provide useful examples for PDSA, Process Maps, SMART Goal Setting, and even a few examples that take CI to the student level.
