Can straight men and women have a strictly platonic relationship? (at least while they are both single and available). I've always wanted say, “of course”. From real life and reading, I have to say I am not so sure. I sure felt the non-platonic relationship with Fox and Sasha. Childhood friends, they'd grown up together, relied on each other, told their secrets to each other. Now, they've secretly lusted after each other. Neither wants to ruin their very important friendship. Fox lives Hockey. Unfortunately, he didn't make the team. His sports stars family didn't accept his sport, of choice, to not even get a team? He'd never hear the end. Oh, there'd be those who would sympathize—not what he wanted to hear. Sasha has finally ended it with her boyfriend of over a year. Too bad she still works with him. She has an internship at a sports publication. It goes along with the studies she is completing. Her thesis is even a topic relevant to her work: the pressure young players are under and put on themselves. She maintains that their failure can often be caused by that pressure. With her close relationship with Fox, her boss wants her to use him as her example, however, she won't do that to him. He is part of the reason she chose the topic, but she won't infringe on their friendship. And then one night...yep. A couple of drinks, a mushy movie, some truths about her lack of meaningful tender sex and it happened. The promises of it being a one-time thing...well you figure it out. Can they remain friends? Can they have a relationship? Can he be faithful to one? What impact will their families have on them? I love Fox, felt for him, cheered for his successes, and yes (sorry guy) felt sorry for his disappointments. One good thing about a romance, you know you're going to be happy for them in end. Read on to find out if they can find their HEA together.

I have to give Fox and Sasha 5 stars. Echo is still my favorite, but Fox runs a VERY close second. I really enjoyed Fox and Sasha's relationship. They genuinely liked each other, were supportive, and seemed to have fun together. I was also really glad to see that the grandfather wasn't in this book as much as the previous books. He is definitely not very likable. I didn't pity Fox in this book, but I was rooting for him to find his inner strength, his self assurance at the goal. This book evokes a number of emotions. It was sweet, sassy, fun, sexy, and steamy. There was a bit of suspense, maybe more of a "hold your breath" moment after the college party. I did enjoy the little hint at the end of the book about things to come. I voluntarily read and reviewed this Advanced Copy.

How do you tell to the must important person in your life, your best friend, that you want to have a different type of relationship with them. Since they where little kids they have been best friends and they know everything about each other and no matter what they are always there for the other, in good times and specially in the bad times. Fox whole world is hockey and his best friend Sasha, without them he is just a failed Coulter. But when a huge disappointment hits him hard, Sasha will prove the true meaning of friendship, she is the only one that can help him get back in track and accomplish everything he ever wanted. Sasha will keep him from destroying himself while he will help her in ways that she can only imagine. There is a true passion for the sport, the news, and specially for each other in this very different, full of twists, and passionate Coulter family story.
