My grandfather was Wm P. McCole, Art Rooney's partner. The story that came down to me as a child was that Rooney and McCole were 50/50 partners, and if Rooney split his shares, then they were his shares. I remember the check for $3000.00 from Rooney to my grandfather framed in my gram's house years later in the late 60's.The reason it was framed is because the check was paid off via cash piecemeal. My Gfather didn't think pro football would be a hit. It took 40 years for Rooney's vision to pay off. And the rest is history!!

I bought this book several years ago. I don't know why it's reviewed so poorly, but I thought it was an interesting biography of Pittsburgh's most beloved sports personality.
