About this ebook

Nancy Petrey brings her poetry and music together as a fragrant offering to the LORD!

And then she shares it with us with an additional short devotion that will not only bring out your Bible for further study but also encourage you to keep notes (even a journal!) to rejoice in what God is saying and doing in your life.

"Most importantly, The Honeycomb is Waiting will cause you to fall more deeply in love with Jesus—and an added bonus, the more you experience Nancy Petrey’s personality, you will also fall in love with her. You will discover she is charming and witty, yet able to bring you to accepting some hard-hitting truth."

About the author

Nancy Petrey (1939 - ) grew up in the small town of Luverne, Alabama, got a music degree from the University of Alabama, did some teaching, married her childhood sweetheart Curtis, who became a preacher, and she became a music minister in his churches. After his retirement they moved back to his childhood home in Petrey (near Luverne). They had four children before going into ministry, and the number of grandchildren increased to 17 by 2016. After 56 years of marriage, Nancy had to say goodbye to Curtis as Jesus called him home in April 2016. In 1995, God had called Nancy to be a Mizpah for Israel and to teach the church about its Jewish roots. She studied modern Hebrew, taught Israel awareness classes, and led missions to Israel. She obtained a Master's degree in Religious Education in Middle East History in 2004 and began to teach community Bible studies in relation to Israel and the Jewish people. Her eighth trip to Israel was for the Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem in 2016. She has authored four books, all Bible based. The first one explained her call and what took place up until 2012 - "Jewish Roots Journey: Memoirs of a Mizpah." Two of her books contain poetry - "Habitation of Honey: Poems and Songs" (2015) and "The Honeycomb is Waiting: Poetic Devotionals" (2016). Her most popular book is "Why Christians Should Care About Their Jewish Roots," (2015). It is only 40 pages long and should be required reading for every Christian, especially pastors. Nancy is the pianist for her church and continues to teach the Bible and emphasize the importance of prayer and support for Israel and the Jewish people.
