About this ebook

In book #2 of the sweet and steamy sci-fi romance Sky Mates series, intelligence officer Lt. Dee Wilson pushes way out of her envelope with her hot alien-cyborg flight instructor. Can she help it if his expert maneuvers have her seeing stars?

Dee is afraid of flying. But she’ll do anything for the chance to enter the Sky Mates program and be matched with a loving mate of her own. To overcome her greatest fear, she enlists the help of a big alien warrior with bravery to spare.

Sky Warrior Falcon is under intense pressure to return to his home planet with a Sky Mate. He can’t believe his luck when the sweet and smart redhead instructor who’s enchanted him since he arrived at Galactic Top Gun School turns out to be his match. Except, the only thing she seems passionate about is going out of her way to avoid him. Is she hiding something? When he discovers she’s signed up for lessons at a fear-of-flying clinic, he switches places with her instructor. If she’s serious about going sky high, he’ll make sure it happens with him.

Determined to see Dee reach new heights, Falcon finds out that when it comes to true love, the sky is definitely not the limit. But will his planet allow their most talented pilot to pair up with a mate who's firmly grounded?

Sky Warrior Faulker "Falcon" is one of the warriors chosen to come to Earth to participate in a program named Project Sky Mates. The incredible Dragon warships of their people were eons old, the legacy of a mysterious, more technologically advanced past. Dragons required two pilots to fly them, a bonded pair perfectly matched to handle that flight—Sky Mates. But matches had become rare, which was why this program was so important to them. This program is their attempt to find ideal mates among Earth pilots who will have the qualities the aliens need so they can work alongside the warriors’ on their missions. And the pairing is for life. Falcon has felt himself strongly drawn toward Intelligence Officer Lieutenant Dee "Rainbow" Wilson since he first met her. Dee likewise has an intense attraction to Falcon, but her dread of flying has kept her out of the Sky Mates program where she would have a chance to be matched with one of the warriors. When Dee touches Falcon, her empathic touch triggers synergy which tells Falcon that Dee is his. She must get over her fear of flying, and he swaps places with the instructor she hired for flight lessons. She is terrified of the Sky Mates program because Sky Mates are required to fly with their Sky Warrior. Can he find a way to get her over her fears? Can she feel that the two of them are meant to be together? This is such a sweet alien warrior romance with an intriguing story line and amazing characters. I really love this series. Despite her fears, Dee kept trying; and Falcon was willing to do whatever was needed to help her so that she could be his. This is my absolute favorite series and I know readers will absolutely love it!

The second book in this well-imagined series about an intergalactic dating service features a bewitching crafted romance adventure between Dee and Falcon as they encounter a myriad of obstacles. Definitely hot and spicy. The character development and romance enthralls, but I wanted more twists and turns and the drama that ensues. Still, I highly recommend this book because it is a fun space romp for a lazy afternoon. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

High flying adventure! I love Susan Grant books - there’s something so intelligent and romantic, with that extra bit of something that makes them more than the standard faire. The banter between Dee and Falcon was fantastic - at times both formal and slang-filled, but always quippy. The happy ending made my heart glow! I’m really looking forward to more in the Sky Mates series.
