Short excerpt- While he waited for the truck to warm he grabbed a banana from the browning bunch and took a bite. He really did need to get a few groceries at some point.

Alex came into the kitchen and he paused mid-chew, stunned at what a blow dryer and a little make-up did for her. Now, he liked the natural look as well as any man, but there was something about knowing that a woman had taken care with her appearance just for you that made a man melt. When she met his eyes, she knew he was affected and a slow smile spread her dark pink lips. Then she crossed the kitchen to him and holding his gaze, leaned down to take a bite of the banana in his hand. 

Duncan swallowed, his dick warming with arousal. 

“Hm. I usually like them a little more firm.” She winked at him audaciously, then headed out the door to the garage. 

Damn, that woman was going to kill him. Ridiculously, though, he grinned and followed her out the door.

The most anticipated in a series of bonded brothers. The father of the pack if you will Duncan.... I truly enjoyed the story of my uncle getting his story because he has been a scared soul since the opening credits. What I wasn't counting on was his pure stubbornness and jaded thoughts. Dang did I want to pop him upside the head a time or two. I couldn't because regardless of how he acted in his personal life his heart was still bigger than his eyes. It just worked for me. Most of all was the twist and turn

Every time I read one of J.M.'s books in this series I remember why I love her writing. She gives us a wonderful story while dealing with the reality of what happened to our wounded warriors after they come home. We become involved with the set of characters we have come to know and love. Getting to see one we have known deserved someone finally get his other half was just outstanding. While there are some hard scenes in this book it's real life as unfortunately things that are tragic do happen as the world is not all sunshine and roses. I loved this wonderful book
