At the mercy of the queen...finished this one in 38 hours,I did not want to put it down. Im am however sad for those that lost their lives at the whim of political betterment. A great read for me...time to move on to another era...hmmm?

Good read. I was very involved with all the characters from the start and didn't want the book to end.

About the author

Anne Clinard Barnhill has published short stories, poetry, a memoir and hundreds of articles and book reviews over the last twenty years. At the Mercy of the Queen is her first novel. Barnhill has taught writing in a variety of venues and been keynote speaker for numerous events. She lives in North Carolina.
