Four hundred years have passed since the arrival of the Migrants on the planet of Pomona, and the young colony has already endured generations upon generations of violence. The democratic Federation, born from the ashes of a broken government, has now been dissolved, overcome by the corrupt and fanatical Socialist Union.
What began as an interstellar experiment of peace is now proof of humankind's unique genetic affinity for war.
After decades of Union domination, Ari Kirche, a young Federation boy from seemingly insignificant origins, finds himself in a land he was never supposed to know about. In an accidental twist of fate, he discovers a secret from the past that is sure to ignite the flames of war once more.
Revolution is in the air.

About the author
Jared Hammer is a Los Angeles local author of several novels, the first of which, The Alpine Insurrection, was published in April 2020 with more to come soon. His passion for science and exploration led him to earn his undergraduate degree in Physical Science Education with an additional minor in astronomy, and, after a brief stint as a high school physics teacher, he joined the United States Air Force, where he currently serves as an officer.
Besides writing, his hobbies include most anything outdoors—hiking, kayaking, camping, surfing—just as long as he's there with his wife and son. Together, they enjoy exploring the world—going to new places to try new foods, make new friends, and soak in new cultures. More than anything else, the most important thing to him is enjoying time as a family. His philosophy: nothing beats rainy nights together under a warm blanket with hot chocolate and a good two player Halo campaign.
