First I have to say I have been a big Melissa Foster fan ever since I read Sister's In Love. Since than I have read many of her other books, haven't read them all, but pretty close to it. Now that being said I do have to say Seaside Secrets is the first book I have read in the Seaside Summer series. I just haven't had time to get around to this series till now. I felt every emotion that Mrs. Foster put in this book. But that being said though, I do have to say there was just something about this book that I just couldn't do it. I ended up skimming through more than half of it. I did feel bad for both Tony and Amy, especially Amy for everything she went through. Now for Tony... Tony was sweet and caring, and obviously cared very much for Amy. I just couldn't get into Amy's character. I thought she was just a tad bit to whiny for my liking. I'm only going to be able to give this one 3 Out of 5 Stars. And I also would give it a recommendation, since I just love Mrs. Foster and her other books. But if you love second chance romances, that are touching and heartbreaking than you'll enjoy this one. I can't wait to read the next one.

I don’t normally do very well with angsty stories, simply because I’m such a big wuss, but this one had me racing through it to find them in a better place. When Amy finally came clean about everything in her mind and heart — and confessed to the girls as well — it was all worth it. The romance between Tony and Amy was sad and sweet and absolutely believable, and if anyone in the Seaside gang deserved the happily ever after they finally got, it was these two. ***FicCentral received this book from Tasty Book Tours for free in exchange for an honest review.

Amy has been vacationing with her friends on Cape Code for years. And for years she's been in love with Tony, a pro surfer boarder. Something happened years ago that changed their relationship. But Tony sees her as just a friend. So Amy decides to make one last effort to win his heart. If she can't, she'll accept a job far enough away that hopefully she'll be able to forget him for ever. The visuals for this story are wonderful. I felt like I was at the beach with the friends. The comradery between friends was authentic and heartwarming. The romance between the two characters was dramatic and passionate. While this book can definitely work as a stand-alone (I haven't read the previous ones), I would recommend reading the previous ones first. It's a sweet fun romance that was a great introduction to a great author. I received this book free of charge in exchange for my honest review.
