3.75 stars-- SAINT is the first instalment in Chantal Fernando’s contemporary, adult KNIGHTS OF FURY MC romance series. This is MC member Thorn ‘Saint’ Benson, and Skylar O’Connor’s story line. Told from first person point of view (Skylar) SAINT follows several years in the life of Skylar O’Connor, from a ten year old girl who fell in love with an older boy, to a woman who struggles with her place in the family. At sixteen years of age, having never known her biological father Skylar;s mother pulled our heroine from the only man she ever called dad, a man who would sacrifice everything for Skylar’s life. At age twenty-one, tired of her mother’s secrets and lies, Skylar heads back to the place she calls home, including the man she has always loved. Enter MC member Thorn ‘Saint’ Benson. What ensues is the rekindling relationship and romance between Saint and Skylar, and the potential fall-out as Skylar becomes collateral damage in a war between MC clubs. For more than ten years Skylar had dreamt about our story line hero, a man she would promise everything and more but Saint’s past is about to be revealed, a past Skylar struggles to accept in the face of even more lies. SAINT is a story of betrayal, vengeance, second chances and love. The premise is engaging and captivating; the characters are sassy, colorful and energetic; the romance is steamy and hot. The level of angst is low; the MC lifestyle is mostly hidden from the reader-the usual dark and gritty violence remains behind the scenes or is only revealed a little at a time.

OMG did I love this book! Totally new characters with a totally new and actually very refreshing storyline. This is not something that I have seen from this author before and I really enjoyed the way that she introduced this new series. Skylar is a pretty interesting character. She is young, but she is very aware of who she is, even if she still searching for her own niche in the world. But she definitely gets some hard truths thrown at her as the story goes on and shows just how much strength that she has. And boy does she have some inner strength. There were times in this story that I really teared up. The end … OMG … it broke my heart. The only thing that I was not happy with was the way the whole thing was handled in regards to one character. I so thought that there should have been more to happen to this character and I am hoping that later on down the line this person gets their own comeuppance! Overall, I was so impressed with this book and this new series that the author is introducing to readers. SAINT really kicks this new MC into high gear and the author is going to have to pull out all the stops to do better than this one … but I really think that she can do that! So, two thumbs way up from me and happy reading!!

This is a brand new series by this author, and I was beyond excited to begin. I mean, really? Who can get enough MC romance?!? Not me, that's for sure! And I've read MC romance by this author before, and thoroughly enjoyed it. So I was absolutely sure that this series was going to follow along the lines of the other series, with hot alpha male bikers, and exciting story lines. Boy, did I underestimate this book! Yes, the alpha bikers and crazy circumstances were all there, but there was also that insta-love element that I absolutely adore, and Saint is a whole different breed of biker. This story has gone to the top of my favorites by this author! Skylar is one of the women who seem to always come out on top. No matter how bad life gets, she persists until things work out. After a childhood filled with an unknown father, a crazy inattentive mother, and brothers that aren't really in her life, things go from bad to worse. She looses the only bright spot in her life, her loving step-father and the MC that has always supported her. In the process, she is moved away from the only family she has ever known, including her teenage crush, Saint. Saint is one of those guys. You know what I'm talking about. An alpha male biker who knows what he wants, and does whatever it takes to get it. He lives life to the fullest, loyal to his biker brothers. He also always has Skylar in the back of his mind, as the one that got away. This book was emotional, and exciting, and had everything I look for in an MC romance. I enjoyed the lasting connection between Saint and Skyler, that wasn't even lessened by time, distance or interfering crazy folks. I couldn't help but fall in love with this couple, and I'm sure any other readers will feel the same way!
