About this ebook

PIRATE A SPACESHIP!

Sylvia Stryker has found her footing in the Moon Unit Corporation--but it’ll take more than fancy dance moves to stay alive on this rescue mission to Saturn from national bestselling author Diane Vallere…

Space sleuth Sylvia Stryker wants more from her day job aboard a Moon Unit than to manage crew uniforms. In her time between moon treks, she turns to hunky hero Neptune for lessons in security training. But when a hijacked space pod lands by their training site and the body of an intergalactic courier is discovered inside, Sylvia’s newly-acquired skills are put to the test. The courier was a friend who shared her interest in back-channel business, and his death seems like a message—or worse, a warning.

Determined to seek justice, Sylvia and Neptune assemble a team. But there’s more to this trek through the stars than expected, including fifty rambunctious aliens accidentally beamed aboard the ship, some very nasty space pirates, and one suspicious member of the staff who thought the recruitment message was a call of duty. Now Sylvia’s on a quest to catch a killer, but if she fails, she could wipe out an entire alien race in the process.

Book Three in the Sylvia Stryker Space Mystery series. Each book is a standalone mystery with a continuing character arc.

Perfect for fans of Finlay Donovan and The Orville

Diane Vallere is back with the third volume of her Space Case series and it is the funniest, loosest one yet. I liken this entry to an established television series that diverts from the main plotline for an episode in order to delve into the background of a couple characters. Think of the musical episode of “Moonlighting” where Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepherd dance around to Billy Joel’s “Big Man On Mulberry Street”. The series goes up to the stars and its' charm shines brightly.

Sylvia Stryker, half earthling/half Plunian, has a photographic memory and is a wiz at building and improving a robotic cat. She can also look at plans and comprehend them after a glance, usually knowing how to make improvements. Success is self-made and hard work is her norm. An unsanctioned rescue mission is underway complete with skeleton crew, alien stow-a-ways, and space pirate. Nothing however is quite what it seems. Fantastic fun, original, exciting! I love it!

This 3rd science fiction cozy mystery Sylvia Stryker book is brimful of surprises! Chapter 38 is titled, "Not What You Thought." This is a good key phrase for protagonist Sylvia Stryker's whole world in this 3rd book in the Space Case series. It is gripping to follow the twists and turns in the plot and assumptions throughout this book. Strap on your space gear, because you are in for quite a ride!
