The Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, established by Pope Francis on August 15, 2016, with the Apostolic Letter in the form of a "Motu Proprio" Sedula Mater, is a body of the Holy See presided over by a Prefect, assisted by a Secretary, two lay Undersecretaries and collaborators - men and women, single and married -from various parts of the world.
