I always find that virtually all the incarnations of the hardy boys are too violent for their target audience. During the 90's the violence in these novels were at their worst. I regret being exposed to that thirty years ago and doubt this writing is any better today. It's one of those books that slip past parent's guard. Violence isn't a replacement for engaging content.

I think they should have kept the original cover, that old cover added to nice small town mystery feel that comes from these books.

Very Old Fashioned kids mystery adventure series. I LOVED them as a kid. Every sport featured; Diving.Skii-ing.Sailing, and more. Clean Fun.
