This thrilling series debut has strong, passionate characters that readers can easily relate to and easily captures their hearts with a heartfelt romance full of sizzling chemistry. The relationship is full of fiery sparks, scorching hot passion and lots of sweetness but it is also full of emotional turmoil due to secrets being revealed that impact their lives and of course Jessica having to come to terms with a triad relationship. Readers can’t help but sympathize with Jessica and encourage her to seize her future with both hands as they become caught up in their story. The plot of the story is fast paced and full of suspense and excitement as the truth about Jessica’s past and with some stunning twists, the colony’s secrets comes to light as well as who and what Jessica really is. The author has created a wonderfully steamy and fascinating world about selkies with her own unique twist on the mythology that really changes things up, especially her take on their skins ensuring that readers can really sink their teeth into the excitement and passion, leaving reality behind.

I enjoyed this first story in the "Kismet Cove" series. It's intriguing and nicely developed. Jessica, Rory and Evan have plenty of chemistry and great connection. Due to a letter she receives from her deceased mother she travels west coast in search of answers. However, she is pulled out of the ocean and wakes up practically naked with her two rescuers: Rory and Evan. This is an interesting story with some sweetness, mystery, hot passion and surprises along the way.

My first seal shifters. The one thing was there did not seem to be a connection with the human and the seal as other shifters have. The story was good and I enjoyed it very much as she found out about who and what she was.

About the author

Susan lives out on the Canadian west coast surrounded by open water, dear family, and good friends. She’s jumped out of perfectly good airplanes on purpose and accidentally swum with sharks on the Great Barrier Reef.

 If the world ends, she plans to survive as the spunky, comedic sidekick to the heroes of the new world, because she’s too damned short and out of shape to make it on her own for long.
