A Chatsfield Scandal!

Journalist Sophie Parsons needs a scoop to stop the sale of her friend's hotel chain. And she's found it! But being abducted by a sheikh goes way beyond the call of duty…

Sheikh Zayn Al-Ahmar has a wedding to arrange, a sister to protect and a country to rule. He's not going to let one woman bring it all down with a headline! Kidnapping Sophie seemed like a good idea, but soon her delectable company puts everything he values at risk.

Only one mistress can rule Zayn's heart—will it be Sophie, or his duty?

Yates develops this story with a set goal in mind, one that you can guess pretty much from the beginning even if you can’t tell the route that she’ll take to get there. Intrigue and romance wind their way through the tale keeping readers on their toes. I love Yates’ writing style. It’s clear & inviting. I swear she could write about absolutely nothing and I’d still read the entire thing. She paints her world in front of you, allowing you to not only see it, but to travel there through the pages of her novel. I found the characters in this novel next to impossible to connect with. The main characters were very well developed. Yates allows you to get to know them on many different fronts. However, they are so far removed from my reality that they almost seemed ridiculous at times. Yates doesn’t provide that bridge to allow us ‘normals’ to connect with them and to really care about their stories. Overall, this was a well written, enjoyable read. It wasn’t my favourite of Yates’ work but I’m glad to have read it. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
