About this ebook

The much anticipated 100th book from historical romance powerhouse Jess Michaels

Once upon a time, a handsome duke was madly in love with a beautiful courtesan. But when his grandmother manipulated him into marrying for position, rather than love, they were torn apart. Now Edward, the Duke of Lockhart, is widowed, out of mourning and ready to pursue the love of his life again.

But Sophia Russell was brokenhearted when she lost him before and she sees no way that it can work out this time any more than it did before. Still, Edward’s seduction is something she cannot…will not resist. So she creates elaborate rules of their affair and hopes she can keep her heart separate this time.

Passion has always been easy for these two, but love will be hard. Especially when a terrible danger becomes clear and their fight for each other becomes one they may die from if they lose.

Heat Level: Courtesans and dukes and a wicked bargain…oh my!

100 Nights with the Duke by Jess Michaels Sigh…such a wonderful story that is not quite a historical Pretty Woman romance but definitely has the same feel-good ending…along with a bit of a fairytale feel. Another keeper and a story I would gladly reread again! What I liked: * Sophia Russell: beautiful, intelligent, difficult childhood, became a courtesan, still harbors feelings for one man that was her protector… * Edward, Duke of Lockhart: handsome, wealthy, educated, upper class, molded by his grandmother, married one woman while loving another…still loves her * Wondering how and if the two would be able to make a go of it when given a second opportunity to do so * The deep abiding feelings Edward and Sophia had for one another * The way the two put the other first if and when they could * The good friends both had that were there for them when needed * Hoping that the evil person(s) would be illuminated and dealt with * The steamy bits * Thinking about how a courtesan might be trained and what that life might have been like * Vivienne and Wallingford…do hope they will eventually find their own happily ever after…not necessarily together but with someone * The Epilogue and getting to see five years into the future… What I didn’t like: * Exactly what and who I was meant not to like…and it was easy to do so! Did I enjoy this book? Yes Would I read more by this author? Definitely! Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review. 5 Stars

The impossible. Ignoring the economy of pain, Edward marries a proper lady and gives up his mistress, Sophia. Three years later, Edward (now a widower) seeks out Sophia, at an orgy no less. They publicly indulge and Edward begins his campaign for the impossible. To marry Sophia. But he needs to woo and win back her trust. Better get on your knees, Edward. An excellent 100th book filled with longing and steam and a charming courtesan in Sophia and a duke who has learned his lesson.

About the author

USA Today Bestselling author Jess Michaels likes geeky stuff, Vanilla Coke Zero, anything coconut, cheese and her dog, Elton. She is lucky enough to be married to her favorite person in the world and lives in the heart of Dallas, TX where she's trying to eat all the amazing food in the city.

When she’s not obsessively checking her steps on Fitbit or trying out new flavors of Greek yogurt, she writes historical romances with smoking hot characters and emotional stories. She has written for numerous publishers and is now fully indie and loving every moment of it (well, almost every moment).
