“Two women walk into a lift. Only one walks out alive“ With a tagline like the above, there was no way I wasn’t going to read this book! I didn’t even read the blurb as I was already hooked! Was it suicide? Was it murder? And why? I needed the answers stat! A dark and twisted read, this hits the ground running right from the outset and does not let up until its epilogue. It messes with your head as you wonder who is playing who, which results in a very riveting read. Kistler draws the reader in with writing that is engaging and gives an authentic account of the legal aspects of the story which I really enjoyed. The cast of characters are not at all likeable, however I suspect that this may have been deliberate as it is a dynamic that really works in this case. All up this is a very clever and entertaining read that you should defintiely check out.

Bonnie Kistler is an American author. She practiced corporate litigation in Alaska, Arkansas, and finally Philadelphia before becoming a full-time novelist. She is the author of House on Fire, and, as Bonnie MacDougal, several other thrillers. She and her husband now divide their time between Florida and the Blue Ridge Mountains.
