Lets just start with I finished this book in a day. Highland Wolf Clan, Book 1, The Reluctant Alpha has it all adventure, turmoil, love, family, Justice and witchcraft. I believe you will feel the same as I when you read book 1 that this adventure is just getting started. The Story begins and we are introduced to Cameron and his best friend Jinx who refers to his friend as Sin. Cameron is a successful business man and Jinx who is best friend and protector just also Happened to be wolves from the Highland Pack of Scotland. Cam is to be Alpha but refuses to ever take over that position from his Father in Scotland due to a rift between them. Little does Cam know but when his Father summons him back to Scotland his and jinx’s lives will change forever, along with several others when Cam passes on being Alpha suggest that his younger brother Grant should become Alpha and he would go to America to help out his Uncle Fearghas. Cam, Jinx, their friends Mac and the twins Rory and Logan Dunbar set off to America to find out who tried kill cam’s cousin Fergie and investigate the disappearance of other strong wolves from this Highland Wolf Clan Pack. During the investigation Cam’s Uncle is murdered by the neighboring Alpha of the Wild Ranch Pack. Because of Cams cousin Fergie’s injury, Cam is thrown into the roll of Alpha for the Highland Wolf Clan Pack. I left a lot of surprise out of this review and I’m sure as many things that will be resolved in book two more surprises are to come. Thank you A.K. Michaels for having trust in me to read and review this book. It was a pleasure and an honor! Thank you for a great story and adventure on the edge of my seat waiting to continue this story.

I Absolutely LOVED this book. It get 4.5 stars from me. The only issues I have with it is the "age" of the younger wolves is rather confusing. THey act and are treated as teenage boys. And I am not too fond of the way the end is very "clouded" with too much going on. I think if Ava had stucl to ONE main pair it would have not only been perfect, but would have opened her up to many more stories. Which leads me into the disappointment that there are not already several more to read by her. This book is wonderfully easy to follow, and almost impossible to put down. I am 100% planning to read the next in the series and everyone after that. In this first Clan book, it was surprisingly delightful. Cam (Cameron) is at odds with his father, and its in a way that is completely believable. And therefore has separated himself from his "pack" and family. Cam has lived his life and become a very successful man in the business world. But as problems in his own pack and that of his uncles arise, he WILL be forced to choose. Can he hold to his decision to not become Alpha? And what will become of his uncles tribe in the US that is under attack? Will he be the Alpha he was born to be, or turn his back on the family, possibly leaving BOTH packs without a leader, and without protection. Then comes Chastity... I LOVE that this is NOT a typical HEA, (NO spoilers) yet will keep you turning pages none the less.
