About this ebook

The first book in the bestselling Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Now with a new cover look! Discover the story behind the Disney+ series.

HALF BOY - HALF GOD - ALL HERO.

Look, I never asked to be the son of a Greek god. I was just a normal kid. . . until I accidentally vaporized my maths teacher.

Percy Jackson is having a bad week. His life has gone from totally normal to monsters-from-Greek-mythology-randomly-appearing kind of strange. Worse still, the king of the gods thinks Percy has stolen his all-powerful lightning bolt - and it seems making Zeus angry is a very bad idea.

Now Percy and his friends have just ten days to catch the true lightning thief and stop all-out war from erupting on Mount Olympus. . .

What could possibly go wrong?

Return to the World of Percy Jackson in the best-selling, brand-new adventure featuring the original hero in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Chalice of the Gods – out now!

And don't miss the trio's next adventure in Percy Jackson and the Olympians: Wrath of the Triple Goddess, coming soon!

When I first read the Percy Jackson the lightning thief I got so absorbed to it I stayed up till late at night to read it.My friend the next day told me I looked drowsy and pissed and I told him why.IT WAS ALL WORTH IT! This book is the best and is a must read.Once I finished it I looked for more and now I've got the whole series.Rick Riordan also inspired me to start to write my own books so a couple months ago I started making a story and it turned out to be a hit.I read to my classroom mates and got it published but it hasn't turned into a big famous book.So thank you Rick Riordan.

Rick Riordan has risen to fame with his Jackson books.Greek gods? Freaky? No,I don't think so.The book is absolutely brilliant.Zeus's master bolt threatens to be the subject of a war between Zeus and Poseidon,in short,a chemical formula for fireworks.Enter Percy,Zeus's suspect.According to Zeus,Jackson, being the son of Poseidon has stolen the bolt.Percy is on a quest to save his mom, kill monsters, and return the bolt to Zeus before the axe falls. Can he do it? Find out and more as to who stole the bolt, and a new villian gets unleashead at the climax of the book!

It is a very good book, as I said earlier, but it was not something to which I would rate more than 4. Rick Riordan's writing style is excellent but somehow the plot of the story was not so charming. Riordan's other books, especially the "Titan's Curse" and "The Last Olympian were truly incredible but this one was not having a plot with a lot of twists so it wasn't of that quality.
