Carol 27
I’m a huge fan of the urban fantasy genre, and was intrigued by this premise of Immortal brothers sired by an ancient vampire but born to a witch, albeit one with incomparable power. I was somewhat disappointed then, when I found the story slow to get going and to grab my interest. Fortunately, things took a turn approximately 35% in, when the minions of the villain arrived and chaos soon followed. While some aspects of the plot played out as I expected, there were also several unique incidences. In addition, there’s plenty of magic, action & adventure, drama, angst, and some violence along with a slow burning, enemies-to-lovers romance that led to some steamy scenes. ... The second book in the Order of the Black Oak - Vampires series a well written story with a very good storyline that kept me turning pages. Son of an ancient vampire and a legendary French witch, Mont-Royal Immortal Magnovald St-Amand/Mag and human Nyssa Vlahos and her sister Cat, there is drama,, evil, a villain and romance. I want to read the next book. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
