I like many books in this genre, but this book is incredibly bad. It is one of the worst books I have ever read. The science in it is laughably unbelievable and with a good editor could have been fixed. For example, the man finds an orange that he took out of ice that is thousands of years old. Oranges did not exist thousands of years ago. This kind of science pops up about every 2 pages and is distracting and inexcusable. Stretching things is ok, but ridiculous errors and commonly known myths is not. The characters change personalities (or they are secretly dual-personality, who knows). The female characters in particular are unbelievable and change their minds about everything as if the author has a personal issue he is projecting in the most extreme way possible. Definitely pass on this book. I don't know how anyone could have given this one a 5 star - that's crazy.
