About the author

Michael Savage was born Michael Alan Weiner in the Bronx, New York on March 31, 1942. He received a bachelor's degree in biology from Queens College, two master's degrees in medical botany and medical anthropology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a PhD. in epidemiology and nutrition sciences from the University of California at Berkeley. He is a conservative American radio host, author, and political commentator. He is the host of The Michael Savage Show, which is syndicated across the U.S. in over 300 markets. In 2007, his media presence and profile earned him the Freedom of Speech Award from Talkers Magazine. In 2009, he was banned from entering the United Kingdom, for allegedly "seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred." He is the author of more than 25 books. As Michael Weiner, he writes books on herbal medicine and homeopathy. As Michael Savage, he has written several political books including The Savage Nation: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Borders, Language and Culture, The Enemy Within: Saving America from the Liberal Assault on Our Schools, Faith, and Military, Liberalism Is a Mental Disorder, The Political Zoo, and Trickle up Poverty: Stopping Obama's Attack on Our Borders, Economy, and Security.
