SPINE TINGLING ROMANTIC HORROR THRILLER-STEPHEN KING meets HEATHER GRAHAM

                                     EVIL DOES EXIST

An abandoned house, a serial killer, and a victim reaching out from the grave. A woman races against time to unearth deeply buried secrets before she becomes a ghost herself.

                                       YOU ARE NOT ALONE

Madeline Anderson goes to Isabelle Island, Washington, to sell a family home abandoned over forty years before. Strange things occur the moment she arrives, items move about on their own accord. Noises come from empty rooms. She has a recurring dream of a woman running for her life. But most disturbing is that the wind rustling through the trees sounds like urgent cries. When the cacophony dies down, one single word emerges:                                                                                                                                                                                            Madeline, Madeline, Madeline.

                                      YOU CAN’T HIDE

The man helping her with the renovations, Doug Lindstrom, is certain she’s jumping at shadows because the local kids called the house haunted. That is until he witnesses horrifying events that even he can’t explain. After Maddy’s life is threatened not once, but twice, Doug vows there won’t be a third. He’d rather die saving Maddy than live without her.

                                          THEY SEE ALL

While searching for answers, Maddy uncovers dark family secrets that only lead to more questions. She digs deeper until she stumbles across evidence of an old cold case involving a serial killer named The Seaside Strangler.

Now Maddy must unmask a killer. The life she saves just might be her own.

Characters are not really fleshed out, dialogues are, at best, juvenile (example: What grown men in this day and age, uses 'babe' when addressing the object of his affection?! Makes me cringe every time I see it). While the 'horror' part was so-so, I liked the supernatural element of it, it was what drew me to read it in the first place. But again, serial killer was not thought out. The author had an opportunity and failed to capitalised on it. The whole story lacked substance. I found it was a weak story and very far-fetched and belong in the fairy tale genre. Characters were, unfortunately, unlikable. All of them. Two stars from me, for effort and for being a published author.

Note: This book contains quite of few graphic violent scenes. I love watching scary movies but it never really interested me to read a scary book. This one blew me away. Its like Poltergeist 1 and 2 and The Entity all rolled into one with a sweet romance around all the craziness. Madeline Anderson knows grief. She lost her husband and child in a house fire that she managed to survive. When her Grandmother's sister takes a turn for the worse Madeline goes to help get her great-aunts finances in order. In going threw her things they find a deed to a house her grandmother thought that her sister had gotten rid of many years ago. Maddie jumps at the chance to go to Isabelle Island and get the house ready to sell so she didnt have to think about all that she had lost. What she finds is a house that no one has stepped foot in 40 years and its in bad shape. She meets her neighbor Doug Lindstrom who is a fireman and he offers his services to help her get the place restored so she can put it on the market. But as these two are growing attracted to each other while working on the house, strange things start happening. As the occurrences get more violent Madeline finds her great-aunts journal. This was her in-laws house where she lived with them and her husband after they got married and many bad things happened. The evil does not leave Madeline alone and we go on the quest with her and Doug to find out what really happened all those years ago and how it ties into what is going in today.
