It was difficult to force myself through this book but I wanted to read it all thinking it would be important to understand Alice for the final book in the series. However the story of Alice is left in limbo in the final book and we do not learn why her behaviors seem unlike the rest of the series, including this book. Should there be another series, "The Spook of Chipenden", we may finally understand what really happens with Alice. Until then, it is not necessary to read this book if you find yourself stru

This was actually one of my favorites in the series. I love Alice and I love the fact that she is the strongest character in the group. Now it's time to read the final book and find out just how badass Alice will turn out.

He is a former English teacher who lives in the heart of boggart territory in Lancashire, England. His village has a boggart called the Hall Knocker, which was laid to rest under the step of a house near the church.
