About this ebook

A heartfelt & hilarious tale about a workaholic whose blind sushi date turns into a whitewater rafting disaster that puts love at the top of her to-do list.

City girl Jennifer Page works sixteen-hour days and has little time for love. But when her best friend proposes they go on a blind double date, Jennifer doesn’t hesitate to say yes. What’s better for her overworked soul than time with her best friend, a new sushi restaurant, and a cute guy?

Outdoor adventurist Dylan Douglas is surprised when his blind date shows up for whitewater rafting dressed to the nines in high heels. Turns out the only experience she has with the outdoors is when she almost got eaten by a bear as a kid. Despite the mix-up, Jennifer continues with the date and Dylan admires her spunk.

Jennifer and Dylan have little in common, but he turns out to be fun and insightful. As they spend time together, Jennifer realizes an adventurist girl has been hiding inside her this whole time. Will their differences tear them apart or teach them that a rafting disaster can turn into the love of a lifetime?

Having agreed to a double date with Hannah, Jennifer Page was driving in the middle of nowhere to meet them at a popular sushi restaurant. But it was miles from everything on a dusty, pot-holed road! And it didn’t even have Wi-Fi! When the GPS said she reached her destination, Jennifer knew there was no sushi place nearby. But Hannah called her name and she saw her dressed in a puffy orange vest that was definitely not attractive. Her boyfriend didn’t even have a shirt on! Nor did the hot guy, her date probably, have a shirt. Uh, where’s the sushi? Apparently she misread the text that said whitewater rafting, not sushi – she had spilled some sauce on that part of the word, so assume ‘r’ was part of ‘restaurant’. And here she was in a dress and high heels! She did want to find her true love while on a date, but definitely not out here in the middle of the woods! She was absolutely NOT an outdoor type of girl! Outdoor adventurist Dylan Douglas is surprised when his blind date shows up in high heels for their date! She still gives it a try, and he admires her for that. And both are willing to try another date. But can the outdoor, rugged guy and the absolute city girl find a way to bring their lifestyles together? Can each teach the other the value of a little adventure added to the dependable, hard-working career goals to make a better-balanced person? This was a wonderful story of two people who, despite their differences, are the absolute best choice either could make! They complete each other and help each other find more balance in their life. This is a funny story line that keeps the reader laughing and enjoying these great characters as they fall in love. You definitely won’t want to miss this one!

What do you get when you pair the ultimate Type-A city girl with a laid-back adventurer? You get the sweetly funny misadventures of Jennifer and Dylan. Their story shows Murphy’s Law hard at work, and makes me wonder if the author has a bit of a vindictive streak with how ruthlessly she wields the question: “so what really is the absolute worst that could happen?” I loved watching Dylan teach Jennifer how to spread her wings, and her, in turn, showing him it’s okay to plant roots. This book was the perfect candy confection I needed. Now I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the next in the series. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
