About this ebook

"By turns hilarious and tragic, thought-provoking and provocatively infuriating, Orc of Many Questions is imaginative fiction at its finest: that which constructs a fantastic world to serve as metaphor for our own, but which allows this world the space to breathe freely, and to achieve its own truths and conclusions."
- Brandon Carbaugh

"Well this guy writes about Orc's as though he's lived with them all his life. A really fun read. Perfect for younger adults looking for something different!"
- Best Slice of Pie

*****

Orcs don’t like questions. Everybody with a brain knows that. Orc tribes save their strength for fighting, not thinking. They survive by raiding the lands of weaker races, repeating it year after year to offer tribute to the masters of their mountain home.

Life on Firebrand Peak is short and nasty. Death comes quickly and the fallen are soon forgotten. Generations pass, yet the tribe remains brutally the same.

Until one little orc starts asking too many questions.

It might best be read by a young adult, but the purpose of a story is to take the reader away from reality and put them in a totally different environment. Escapism, that is why I love fiction. This story did that pretty well. I liked the concept, the characters, all of that. Only criticism would be that orcs being warriors doesn't mean they don't value being somewhat influenced by intellect. If their species actually survived enough to make it this far they wouldn't just respond to questions by young orcs with hostility. Mindlessness is for maybe Gnolls, Zombies, and like, insects. Orcs are fighters, but they are capable of producing some, if only a few, offspring who would have higher cognizant abilities. Wind wouldn't be that much of an anomaly, in my opinion. But you write your orcs and I'll write mine. Fun good orc story, this.

What an awesome story. Unusual enough to stay fresh but with enough of family life to keep it real (minus the child abuse). Sometimes laugh out loud funny, sometimes bringing a tear. Loved it.

Sorry had to write it. This book was a lot better than some of the books I've read from Google books. Didn't know orc children were called bluncs. I knew that they were thick in the head. This book is a good read if you're interested in reading it do it, this author is a damn good writer. 5 stars doesn't seem to be enough so I'll give it 7. Thanks.

About the author

Reading was always an escape, however at some point all the stories began to jumble and take on a life of their own, refusing to be contained. Wizards may find themselves in my worlds, however creating something I can share with others is for me the best kind of magic.
