Er war danach noch vier Jahre in Wernigerode als Privatlehrer tätig, bevor er 1763 sein Studium an der Universität Halle beginnen konnte. Vorliegendes Buch gilt als sein bedeutendstes Werk, welches 1791 erstmals erschien und 8 Auflagen erlebte.
