I was totally roped in with book 1, and book 2 did not disappoint. Excitement and adventure abound while you watch the growth of the main characters and their complicated attachment to each other. The writing for the Waterspell series is flawless, it's so well done, you find yourself plopped right in the middle of this fantasy world. I can't wait for book 3!

Well, what can I say? To this is up there with the great books of wonder!! Would put this up there with Lord of the rings and so on. Would love to see this as a movie. Have spent 3 days reading each books with hardly any sleep. It's so enthralling that I would say I was so be spelled by each word!!

About the author

Castles in the cornfield provided the setting for Deborah J. Lightfoot's earliest flights of fancy. On her father's farm in Texas, she grew up reading tales of adventure and reenacting them behind ramparts of sun-drenched grain. She left the farm to earn a degree in journalism and write award-winning books of history and biography. High on her bucket list was the desire to try her hand at the genre she most admired.
