I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. If I could give this book more than 5 stars, I definitely would. The gut wrenching emotional journey that these two characters had gone through over the years really made an impact on me. I really felt like this was happening to me. I couldn’t imagine what I would have done. I applaud the author for a well-scripted book. It is a good sign when the story can pull such emotions from the reader and there were such highs and lows here. Even though I would have to put this down a couple of times as my emotions all over the place. While this is a part of a series, you do not have to read the prior ones to enjoy this. This book is written in a dual POV format. I love that as it gives me that glimpse into the characters’ thoughts. I more fully understood the characters and their actions during a scene that way. With this book I really felt one with the character, Annie. There was a fade to nothing so I could recommend this book to anyone.
