About this ebook

Opposites attract and sparks fly in the delightful small town of Christmas Creek.

Holly Jolly lives for Christmas. It’s the only time of the year, as far as she’s concerned.

Gordon Gills doesn’t need a reason to hate the holiday season. He doesn’t see the point.

Gordon returns to the mansion he inherited and finds Holly making a mess with her Christmas decorations. Unfortunately, his great-aunt’s will stipulates that he must make merry every Christmas if he wants to keep his inheritance.

Holly is determined to infect the grouchy Gordon with every dose of Christmas cheer she can muster and show him what Christmas is really about.

Will Gordon prevail and turn Holly into a Grinch, or will a sprinkling of Christmas magic show Gordon that there’s no fighting love, especially when it’s wrapped up in a gorgeous redheaded package of jolly holly?

----

Christmas Creek romances are a fun way to get into the holiday spirit. They are sassy, standalone romances centered around a town which celebrates Christmas all year round. Each story has a happy ending and can be read in any order, but of course, they are more fun if read together.

Deck the Hearts, #1 Can Holly’s jolly Christmas spirit help Grinchy Gordon Gills save the town of Christmas Creek?

Her Christmas Chance, #2 A woman with cerebral palsy and her tomcat disagree about the attractive ex-con living next door. Will a dose of Christmas magic reach through his dark secrets?

A Christmas Creek Carol, #3 A reclusive writer, Ebony Cruse, is given a one-star review on her life by characters in her past, present, and future.

Kitty, It's Cold Outside, #4 When mailman Mick Jolly delivers a kitten to an abandoned millhouse, he is ensnared by a mysterious Victorian woman caught in a Christmas curse.

A Christmas Creek Caper, #5 Someone’s stealing packages off the Christmas Creek porches. Sheriff Brad Wing is on the case—until he’s caught with his hands up and his pants down.

Toy Soldier Christmas, #6 Breast cancer survivor, Nutmeg Brown, finds a broken toy soldier under her Christmas tree. It’s love at first sight with a wooden toy or is it?

Red’s Christmas Woodsman, #7 When Ruby Red Rumsey visits her grandmother’s Christmas Creek cottage, she finds a hunky woodsman asleep in her grandmother’s bed.

Dashing Through Christmas, #8 Misty Jolly and Dash Weston play guessing games while rushing through a Christmas project with no help from Westie, a “talking” dog.

Dottie's Christmas Wish, #9 All Merry Jolly wants is to make Dr. Colton Dale smile. All his daughter, Dottie, wants is a dog. Will Christmas wishes come true for three lonely hearts?

**This review is for the audiobook** Whether you love Christmas all year round or are just trying to get into the holiday spirit, Deck the Hearts: A Christmas Creek Romance, Book 1 will leave you smiling and feeling happy! This audiobook, written by Rachelle Ayala and narrated by Kate Marcin, is around 2 hours long...perfect for a drive up north or a Saturday afternoon at home! I didn't know it at the time, but being that I didn't stop smiling once throughout the entire listen, it was just what I needed! Rachelle Ayala is an amazing author. :-) She has a way of pulling you into the story and making you feel like you are right there in the action of it all. Her characters are not only relatable and loveable, but they also feel like friends! Sometimes when I listen to a book, it takes me 2 hours to get to know the characters in the story...this book is just 2 hours, and when it was over I felt like I was saying good-bye to people I've known for years! Not everyone has talent like that! Great job! Kate Marcin's narration made my experience more exciting and engaging than if I had just read it. I love audiobooks, but finding a narrator who adds to the story as a whole isn't always an easy task! I think she did a fantastic job! Ayala and Marcin are a great team!! Overall, I rate this audiobook 5/5 stars! The plot advances quite quickly, but being that it is a short listen, that is expected. For me the length is PERFECT! I don't want to give away any of story, but I will say that nothing drags on and onnnnnn like some books do. I loved it, and as I already stated, I didn't stop smiling even once. As I write this review, the date is September 13th...and Christmas isn't for a few months. However, I enjoyed this audiobook just as much as I would have if it were December 13th (in fact, I'll proably listen to it again around that time)! I highly recommend Deck the Hearts: A Christmas Creek Romance, Book 1 to those who love Romance, Chick Lit, or books about the holidays! Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope it was helpful. :-)

"Fun and Surprising" Would you consider the audio edition of Deck the Hearts to be better than the print version? I loved both the print and audio version of this story. It is a completely fun and heartfelt story that will melt the icing off any cake. This story will warm your heart and bring much needed cheer to your life. You will love every minute of it! What was one of the most memorable moments of Deck the Hearts? My favorite part of the story is when Holly realized that she really and truly loved Gordon. She didn't see what was right in front of her because she thought she had a job to do and ignored what her heart was trying to tell her. Once she gave into what she knew all this time was true, she knew she was finally at home. Which character – as performed by Kate Marcin – was your favorite? Gordon was my favorite because he wanted to believe that there was more in life then what he had experienced. She showed that there was so much more to Gordon then he left on, and Holly never gave up on changing his mind. It was a great experience! Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry? Yes, I cried and laughed a few times throughout this amazing story! I couldn't help but be pulled in by the wonderful characters and the heart pulling plot. Any additional comments? This is a perfect story for Christmas. Don't miss it!
